Senior Mainframe Programmer/Analyst
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing,
debugging and installing for large-scale mainframe computers. Maintains and develops
on-line and batch application programs. Develops and implements a disaster recovery
plan. Works with project members to develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts.
Possesses 8-10 years of mainframe development experience and may hold a degree in
Computer Science as well as experience with some of the following software platforms
and languages: Cobol, Assembler, IMS, MVS, DYL 280, JCL, PanValet, TSO/ISPF,
DB2, CICS, VSAM, and SQL, etc. May provide consultation on complex projects and
lead and direct the work of others. Is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Mainframe Programmer/Analyst

SQL, etc. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing,
debugging and installing to support an organization's business applications. Gathers
requirements from users and creates specifications and develops code. Designs and
writes codes to support existing application. May hold a degree in Computer Science
and have at least 8-10 years of experience in mid-range development on AS/400
systems etc. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals. May provide consultation on complex projects and lead and direct the work of
others. Is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity
and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
